G3 Innovative Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to conduct business development activities focused on Department of Defense (DoD) Customers. The individual filling this position will be fully remote.

The role requires an ethical approach to identifying and pursuing new opportunities, comprehensive business acumen, technical understanding, resourcefulness, and outstanding business relationships.
 

Within this role you will be involved in all facets of supporting business development activities within the company. The role requires a calculated approach to identifying and pursuing new opportunities, comprehensive business acumen, technical understanding, resourcefulness, and outstanding business relationships.

Work involves identifying and qualifying opportunities, collecting business intelligence, maintaining and expanding business and customer relationships and is accountable for managing the opportunity pipeline and BD lifecycle.

 

Primary Responsibilities
 

BD Manager directs business development initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy and in alignment with core capabilities. Leads the BD Team within assigned vertical according to company policy and procedures including professional development of staff while ensuring necessary resources are available for successful performance of duties. Accountable to ensure that all responses to customer requirements accurately represent the mission and philosophy of the company. Identifies and analyzes industry spending trends and develops strategies and implements plans to pursue and win new business. Responsible for the customer call plans. The candidate must thrive in an environment where they are responsible for the management and execution of the full BD lifecycle process across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals. In addition to building a qualified pipeline of opportunities, the BD Manager will help shape customer requirements, translate customer needs into actionable features, drive differentiation in G3’s solutions and help create a compelling value proposition.
 

The ideal candidate will have previously served as a business development manager, executive and/or capture manager with proven experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) Customers and will have the ability to conceptualize a vision for winning, to develop strategy and BD capture plans that implement the vision and to translate the strategy into win themes.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • This position requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 7+ years prior relevant experience supporting business development for Federal Civilian and/or DOD customers.
  • Excellent communications skills – demonstrated through written and oral presentations, development of technical papers, volumes, or similar products
  • Possess business and technical vision
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Possess analytical presentation and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with online tools used by the Federal Government for solicitations
  • Experience in identifying and qualifying large business development programs (>$100M Total Contract Value) with emphasis on opportunity qualification and shaping
  • Demonstrated skills in all areas of business development including: opportunity qualification, capture strategy, customer visits and demonstrations, customer relationship development, relationship development with competitors, written submissions (market surveys, RFI responses, support to proposals), team leadership, etc.
  • Experience in the development of and successful negotiation of teaming agreements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; experience presenting to senior executives, peers, and customers
  • Ability to empower and engage people and instill drive and passion into the organization

Preferred Qualifications
 

  • 10+ years leading people, teams, and programs.
  • Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance
  • Prior business development experience in any federal civilian market segment
  • Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish solid working relationships with technical staff, division managers, and peers across the corporation
 
Location: Remote
Compensation:  $125,000 - $160,000 annually depending on experience and candidate qualifications
